Cynthia was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She's a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She's a retired Educator from the Memphis Shelby County Schools, Shelby County Headstart, Inc., Shelby County Government, and Porter Leath Pre-School. She has 50 years of experience in the workforce with 30 of those years being in Education, and 8 years working for the City of Memphis Park Commission. Cynthia plans and implements activities and resources necessary to achieve goals and fundraising objectives in the assigned territory. She analyzes historical and market data to inform fundraising goals.

She identify national and global charitable partners aligned with the strategic focus meet with charitable partners to explore funding opportunities and facilitate the submission of proposals and steward internally for approvals, manage strategic relationships and gifts within the focus area and act as the relationship manager to focus area charitable partners, provide good strategy and oversight to focus area donations budgets. She also manage and improve Operational Effectiveness of the grant making process for focus area, manage and professionally develop direct reports, and assist in implementation of new strategy by leading the transition and implementation as it pertains to corporate donations
